Discover an underwater mystery. Solve real time puzzles.
Deep down in the seabed strange hybrids of steam machines and alien plants live. If you manage well your internal garden, these unique species in exchange will help you decode mysteries from your past.
These resources are fixed to the seabed so you need to optimise their circular usage to the very maximum.
- WASD - Move camera
- Left click - Select and place/remove hybrids.
The objective of the game is to collect as many decoding points as possible. If you reach the minimum required for the level, you will learn the next secret message.
There are different tiles on the map:
- Resources -- these contain materials the hybrids require to live on. In order to use materials, you have to connect to them (directly or indirectly).
- Decoding machine -- if this machine has materials in a cycle/tick, it will produce points.
- Regular hybrids -- required to make the full ecosystem work as they transfer either material to anti-material or vice versa.
- Speed machines -- enable faster cooldown for hybrids so you can progress with building faster.
The materials are always transferred from one state to another if possible. Two phases: color regular and black anti. A hybrid requires all resources to process them (if only one type of material is available, they starve). Connected hives of hybrids (neighbouring tiles) act as one ecosystem - and would process materials together.
Game Jam
Made for HEJ 2025 june (Havi Egy Játék) game jam. Theme options: OPPOSITES, RETRO FUTURE, NOT WHAT YOU EXPECTED. Optional mechanic: REAL-TIME STRATEGY
Selected main theme: RETRO FUTURE.
I set the game in a Steam Punk world. Although Retro Future is my main theme, I believe the game works as opposites (material - anti-material) and Not what you expect (cannot mine resources, only use them circular).
In one month I found this theme to be turned into a full RTS game not possible, but I implemented certain RTS elements - like the game is time bounded and real time.
